On the occasion of Heritage Month, from April 18 to May 18, and in celebration of the International Day for African Cultural Heritage, which takes place every year on May 5th, the Center for Arts and Culture at the Palace of the Raïs Bastion 23 aims to highlight the impact of Algeria as an integral part of Africa. The goal is to shed light on its distinguished historical position through studies, research, and archaeological discoveries that have scientifically documented this integration and presence. As a result, the Center for Arts and Culture at the Palace of the Raïs, in collaboration with the University of Algeria 02 and the Institute of Archaeology, is organizing a study day titled “Human Development in Algeria and its African Continuum.”
The event will be facilitated by the following speakers:
– Mr. Harishan Zouhir (Archaeological Researcher, Member of the Excavations at the Ain El Hanash Site, and Director of the National Public Museum of Bardo)
– Ms. Farah Chemrik (Lecturer at the Institute of Archaeology, University of Algeria 02)
– Mr. Slim Idrissi (Lecturer at the Institute of Archaeology, University of Algeria 02)
Additionally, there will be 23 lectures by Dr. Ahmed Adimi addressing the role of the Algerian Revolution in promoting the spirit of liberation, raising awareness of the struggle, and fostering a national identity among the peoples of the African continent.
